Our Story

I am LINO KIM from South Korea. I started homebrewing in 2011, when I was living in Korea with my family, working in a leading multinational technology company.

Every day when I returned home, NANA, my wife, complained about the taste of the beer.

"Korean beer is very watery and not rich!", so I thought 'My dear wife why will she be so gourmet and picky'.

Well, if it's all about tasty beer, why not make it myself,' I casually thought to myself, and so began home brewing.

A year later, I won the gold award at the Home Brewing Craft Beer Competition in my country.

This gained so much recognition that I became more and more involved in this world. And that is how I discovered that this was my vocation and I decided to dedicate my life to it.

The place I chose to make my dream come true was Colombia. Working in the Korean multinational, I had the opportunity to spend two periods in Bogota, (2009 - 2012), (2015 - 2018).

This experience allowed me to get to know the joy of Colombians, who dance to the music everywhere and have fun at all times.

I wished to always work together with them and face new challenges with them. In 2019 I decided to start Lino Brewing Company and live permanently in Colombia.

With Nana, my gourmet and detail-oriented wife, I am brewing a special beer for you, the Colombians I love so much.
